Other Information
Architectural Accessibility
The entrance to the Museum is from Aleje Jerozolimskie. There are two parking spaces for persons with disabilities in front of the main gate. Stairs, a vertical platform lift, and a ramp with a 15.9% incline lead to the entrance of the building. Some individuals may require assistance. A detailed description of the route to the main building can be found in the “Muzeum dostępne” (Accessible Museum) tab.
Inside the building, communication areas are wide, and elevators provide access between floors. In some exhibition rooms, stair lifts must be used. The only room inaccessible to wheelchair users is the Porcelain Passage on the second floor. Accessible restrooms are located on all floors open to visitors. Changing tables are provided in the restrooms on levels -1 and +2. On the 1st floor in the 19th Century Art Gallery, there is a family room and a quiet room. Every second and third Wednesday of the month from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., quiet hours are in effect. Museum staff are present in the exhibition rooms to assist guests.
A tactile map of the building is located next to the information desk. Additionally, a handheld tactile map can be borrowed from the Information desk for the duration of your visit. You may enter the building and all its rooms with an assistance dog or guide dog.
Communicational and Informational Accessibility
We do not provide video interpretation into sign language.
Induction loops are available at the ticket offices, cloakrooms, information point, cinema hall, education room, and library reading room.
