Dr Anna M. Leśniewska holds a doctoral degree in humanities, is an art historian and critic, lecturer at the Polish National Film School in Łódź (since 2006), author of exhibitions of modern art, with emphasis on spatial arts, at the National Museum in Warsaw, Wrocław Contemporary Museum and Zachęta – the National Gallery of Art in Warsaw. She is the author of monographies: Henryk Morel (1996), Antoni Mikołajczyk (1998), Barbara Zbrożyna (2006), Puławy 66 (2006), Magdalena Więcek. Przestrzeń jako narzędzie poznania [Magdalena Więcek. The space as a cognitive tool] (2013). She has conducted research at the Contemporary Art Section of the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences and at the National Museum in Warsaw. Since 1993, she has been a member of AICA (Association Internationale des Critiques d’Art, International Association of Art Critics) and in the years 2003–9 – member of the board of AICA’s Polish Section.
