Data Controller

This information on personal data protection at the National Museum in Warsaw and its Branches is provided in connection with the entry into force, on May 25, 2018, of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) hereinafter referred to as “GDPR.”

Data Protection Officer

Pursuant to Article 37(1) of the GDPR, the Director of the National Museum in Warsaw has appointed Paweł Romaniuk as the Data Protection Officer (DPO). Data subjects may contact the DPO with any matters related to the processing of their personal data and to exercising their rights under the GDPR.

The Data Protection Officer ensures full confidentiality of communication with data subjects. In accordance with Article 38(5) of the Regulation, the Data Protection Officer is obliged to maintain secrecy or confidentiality concerning the performance of their tasks, pursuant to EU or Member State law.

Scope of Application of the Regulation

The processing of personal data at the National Museum in Warsaw is governed by the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), hereinafter referred to as “GDPR.”
